We're gonna need to paper shred all these files you've been working on for the last ehh 8-10 months." You need to Freeze the Leaderboads instead of letting us at them after 2.1.2 Facts: All Classes are better in 1.2 (well at least 5/6) New Gems (Allow for Healing/Damage Shield, Significant Damage Reduction, Pointless exp stuff (ease/ hey its marketable)) So Imagine your INVIS or whoever #1 ~ 10 on their own boards .. You spent all this time trying to figure out a way to get a 45 rift done with dual wield. Finally do it a week or two ago and now within another week, this patch is released. Within 12 hours your maybe #25 if youre lucky, within a week you wouldn't be in the top 100. SWK monk now is laughable compared to the monk on PTR. That's why I've played nothing but PTR for the last month. Even Demon Hunter is better. The only one that is arguably worse is Barbarian. 1.0.3 (when you guys halved attack speed RETROACTIVELY) was possibly the worst hit for Blizz Entertainment at least that I've been around for. Your stock went down dramatically, you lost half your playerbase.. and why? Cause we believed that the items we put work into to fine weren't gonna all of a sudden become worthless. Imagine if you completely disgraced the Leaderboards for all of Season 1 after implementing Seasons and pushing people to play them through gimmicky (although gnarly items like Gungo Gurr) Blizzard, you have a couple options here. You can A) Do what you said you were going to do and have the Top Players hate you for doing it. (Trust me you reversing what you have said will come as a shock to no one/we understand) B) At the very least preserve the top 100 on a separate sheet something akin to the ' * ' in baseball. This also will make it a little competitive (Note I am not on the top 100 on any board, unless you count the one my mom has on her wall, psst #1, Druin I dunno why *_ * is #3) or if you count PTR leaderboards xo. C) Do what a company that values INTEGRITY would do ( I'm just saying ) -- Freeze the Leaderboards simultaneously while the new patch is unleashed [implemented]. The drawback here is that some people might feel they need a leaderboard to play for the 3 weeks that are between release and season 2. Here's how I look at it.. When you play for a basketball team or any sports team you have to practice right? Well there are new items and a new class of items along with redesigned spells, redesigned sets etc etc.. Tell our community that the Leaderboards will temporarily be either down or temp leaderboards during which time to customize us to our new surroundings --> ( PRACTICE / SCRIMMAGE ) No professional teams just start playing no one would pay to see that. As if all these reasons weren't enough think about this-- You have a new Class of Weapons. Some guy with a gun versus Jon Bones Jones in a fight.. who wins? | While I appreciate constructive concerns being brought up regarding the upcoming patch and leaderboard changes, some derailment in here is beyond appropriate for this conversation. If you have further concerns or feedback on the end of season and leaderboards, please post them in the appropriate thread. | ||
