| Game using up incredible amount of cpu(1) | Category: Technical SupportOctober-3-2014 7:43 PM PDT (8 years ago) ![]() | |
| Hello. I just installed Diablo III and RoS yesterday. It ran fine for the first 10 minutes, nice and smooth. Then bam! There was a 2-3 second delay to everything that I did. Everything became glitchy in the sense it was like playing the game in "stop-motion" I opened "Task Manager" to see how much CPU the game was using and it was well over 800,000. I have nVidia 9400 GT video card and AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core 5600, 2800 mhz. The game ran PERFECTLY FINE without adjusting graphics settings. Now they are on lowest possible, and I am running windowed mode and it is slower than ever... Why is this happening? How can I fix this? And how do I acquire a REFUND for both D3 and RoS if this issue isn't solved? | ||

| Mermer , Am I to assume when you say your cpu is using "over 800,000", you're referring to the memory? That's a normal figure really. Just entering the game and mucking about in my inventory, mine rises to about 1.3 gig of ram usage. Your hardware is pretty much on the low-end of things for this game I'm afraid so you're not going to see great performance when things get busy. To see how your cpu and gpu stack up to modern ones, check these charts. They show a basic performance rating. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=GeForce+9400+GT http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Athlon+64+X2+Dual+Core+5600%2B _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
