Hi.
I have this error and did the msconfig fix.
Now my audio is messed up, sounds awful like low "res".

Welp, I think I disabled something important!!

Obtaining System Files

Once you have the DXDIAG file, open it and copy/paste the entire file into your next reply.

The DXDIAG doesn't show me the full model number for your laptop. Can you get that for me? It's usually listed on a sticker located on the bottom of the laptop.

Let's reinstall the original driver from the HP website.

Here's a link where that can be found: HP Support

Once there, select Windows 7 64 bit from the drop down menu and click "Next". Scroll down and expand the "Driver - Audio" section and click on download. When the download is complete, run the installer and follow the on-screen steps.
