| [GENERAL INFO] Grimiku: Tell us a bit about yourself. Bacon: Hi, my name is Mike in real life, though those in Sanctuary just know me as Bacon. I work as an IT Admin in that icky place known as real life, with a budding car rental business on the side, and am father to a four year old daughter. I love food (both cooking and eating,) and video games, and my daughter so far seems to enjoy the same. Grimiku: Got any cool hobbies or talents? Bacon: No television worthy talents, that's for sure, but I love to cook, and I have been making origami since I was about six. Strange hobby I guess, but hopefully I can teach my daughter one day (her attention span is still too short). Grimiku: How long have you been playing Diablo games? Bacon: I still remember downloading the Diablo 1 spawn back in the dialup days. it took the better part of a day to download the 50MB demo! Since that, I was hooked, bought the full game, and played the original Diablo wayyyyyyy too much. Grimiku: What other games are you currently playing right now (if any)? Bacon: The Epic Quest for Mighty Loot, Starcraft 2, and occasionally Rift, when I just want to kill some other players. Grimiku: Do you play any other classes? Bacon: I have all classes except Crusader, but I only really spend time on my monks! Grimiku: Are you in a great clan or community? If yes, tell us about them! Bacon: Yes, I joined BoG (Banned of Gamers) a few months ago. Included in the clan is Druin, which every monk knows, Fitz, Nicho and many others as well. Friendly group of folks who all enjoy D3. Grimiku: Do you normally play solo or in groups? Bacon: Solo, because being able to pause is huge. I do have to say though, nothing beats running rifts in a good group though. Grimiku: What's your most embarrassing moment while playing? Bacon: Back during 1.05 to 1.07 era, give or take, I was playing a hardcore Demon Hunter. I had just finished justifying to someone about how I didn't need smoke screen on hardcore, because Vault could get me away from anything. Well, just as I was vaulting away from a pack in A4 Silver Spire, I vaulted right into Nekarat who proceeds to 1-shot me with his fire attack. I'm pretty sure the neighbors heard me. Grimiku: Okay, what about your most AWESOME moment while playing? Bacon: I'd have to say, killing Belial the first time when D3 first came out. What an awesome fight! Grimiku: I noticed your character’s name is NinjaBacon. How many pounds of bacon have you assassinated? Bacon: If I told you, I'd have to kill you! Well, I have atleast 3 unclogged arteries left, so I think I have room for another 63 pounds of salty pork product. | ||

| [FEEL THE WRATH OF YTAR] Grimiku: What drew you to the Monk? Bacon: I like playing melee classes, and Monk was so much faster pace than my first character (barbarian). Grimiku: What's your favorite skill (or skill rune), and why? Bacon: Dashing Strike! I don't think any other ability is as iconic as this one. Grimiku: What build are you running currently? Bacon: Gen-wuko like most other monks. Pre-2.1 I played a LTK fire monk, which I miss a little bit. My other monk is (semi) geared as an almost permanent serenity support monk, who prior to 2.1 was a lightning cookie cutter build. Grimiku: Is there a particular item your still chasing, and how would you change your build if you found it? Bacon: Decent Sunwuko shines, and a witching hour (aka, holy grail). Sadly I had both on PTR! *grumbles something about kadala being stingy* Grimiku: If there was one thing you could change about the Monk, what would it be? Bacon: I wish there was more than two real damage dealing spirit spenders. I think it is really the one thing that has felt lacking with monk compared to other classes. Neither LTK or Wave of Light really synergise with our endgame class sets at all. Grimiku: Name one piece of advice that you think every Monk should know. Bacon: If you're having trouble fighting a pack with the electrified affix, try pulling a white monster to hit with the pack behind it. Your attacks will still hit, and the white monsters will act as a body shield from the deadly lightning bolts. Grimiku: What’s your favorite martial arts movie? Bacon: Ip Man, though Kung Fu Hustle was amazing. Grimiku: Pick a Monk quote! Bacon: "Your best will be easily defeated" | ||
