| After the ROS released, I have crashing issue more frequently I have an AMD FX-4100 MSI 990FXA-GD80 v2 CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) had a MSI R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC recently changed it to XFX R9 280 When I was using the 7850 after play for a while screen would crash and speaker would have loud buzzing sound with North Bridge temp ~ 75 and VGA temp 75~80 I change RAM - still have the problem I used another 7850 to test - seems to have no problem and when my friend used my old 7850 to play game, it crashed and screen became green Run prime95, memtest, Furmark, no problem at all (or I didn't test it right) After all these I suspect it is the VGA issue, so I bought a XFX R9 280 It become worse I can't even finish a single rift run! First time after I upgrade the rift stone, the computer shut down by itself second time after I click exit the game the computer shut down again Try to monitor the temp with HWMonitor NB temp > 80 while playing, idle > 50 VGA temp ~ 60 while playing, idle ~ 40 Try to manually set NB voltage and NB PCI-E voltage to a lower value in BIOS can't fix the problem Really depressed and need suggestion | ||

| MasterET, It sounds like your first 7850 was indeed faulty based on your description of events. What video driver release are you using? If it's any of the 14.x releases, you might want to try reverting back to something in 13.x, like 13.12. Do you know the brand and model # of your computer's power supply? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| MasterET, How hot is the cpu getting while playing? Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| MasterET, Personally, I don't use AMD processors in my PCs so I don't know from experience, but from a little research, that's too hot for your FX-4100. Here's a link to a thread on another forum that may be of use. http://www.overclock.net/t/1276348/amd-fx-4100-cpu-frequency-vs-cpu-nb-frequency If you aren't overclocking anything and the temp is getting that high, I'd suspect your cpu cooling fan is either not working properly due to being installed incorrectly (it may have come loose), or it may just be caked with dust. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| MasterET, Zodiac is referring to your GPU, not the CPU. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
