| My main speakers are a Klipsch THX 2.1 set up. For some strange reason, immediately when I open D3 I only get sounds coming through the bass speaker. It's like the tweeter completely shuts off. When I exit D3, the sound returns to normal. I tried some of the sound fixes previously mentioned in another post. I also tried adjusting the the application's volume via the volume mixer to no avail. It sounds like someone wrapped my speakers in a giant pillow This issue ONLY happens when D3 is open and is with the Klipsch set up, though. When I run my recording monitors through my interface and power amp, this issue does not happen. Any idea what the issue could be? It seemed to just start happening the other day. | ||

| xApollox, Can you post your D3Debug.txt file? It's located in the main Diablo III game folder. | xApollox, In the game, change the # of sound channels to something smaller like 32. Also, change the speaker mode not to be 7.1. | xApollox, Did you close and restart the game after making any changes? You shouldn't have to but I'm not sure what else could be the problem here. I use the same Klipsch setup at home and have never seen anything like what you're describing. "It seemed to just start happening the other day." You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? | xApollox, What do you have listed as the Sound Device in-game? | xApollox, Can you temporarily take your Scarlett 2i2 USB out of the picture by removing it from the system? Change the default sound device in Windows then to the Realtek on-board audio that's currently going to your Klipsch speakers. You may want to also update your Realtek drivers. | xApollox, I'm glad it's working finally. It could have been the drivers or just a matter of reinstalling them.
