Well first off I'm just a bit concerned that things just aren't going my way. I know most of it has to do with luck and such. And the grind to 70 was painless and I actually have a few toons lvl ed up. My biggest problem is is that I seem to get stuck around t1 and can't seem to move away from it.

On my barb I can farm t1 bounties or rifts maybe dying once or twice but I don't kill extremely fast. I haven't tried to but I feel like it would be HORRID. I guess my big question is does t1 only drop t1 quality gear? If I never do to will I get better? Do I need to focus on my stats and enchanting more? I'm broke as hell though maybe have 50 gold atm. In addition to some of the other information that’s been shared here, I also highly encourage players who have hit a wall to consider trying different builds. Oftentimes, I find myself sticking with a particular build for no other reason than it’s one I’ve been working towards for a while. As I venture out and explore new builds that aren’t immediately as familiar, I sometimes find that new approaches are much better than what I was previously using. For console, a good way of researching new builds is by going to YouTube and searching “Ultimate Evil Edition [your class] build.” There’s a wealth of resources out there, and the videos you find on YouTube will often showcase builds in action so you can get a glimpse at the play style before you make a determination.

Also, Torment level difficulties do offer specific items that you won’t find in lower difficulties. If you’re running bounties, I recommend farming at a lower difficulty so that you can rank up XP and acquire gold as quickly as possible. Additionally, that will offer you the quickest way to score your Horadric Caches from Tyrael (with a chance at the cache-specific Legendaries inside). If you are Rifting, I recommend attempting those at the highest difficulty you can muster as that can often yield you the best chance of seeing higher volumes of valuable loot.

I hope this information helps!

I wouldn't recommend stockpiling Rift Key Fragments since they're fairly easy to find. I'd say just continue with the highest level rifts that you're able to complete. If you can't run Torment II rifts yet, that's fine - TI rifts should eventually offer the gear you'll need for the next level of difficulty.
