Gorkamorka #2842 | Network disconnects when switching areas(1) | Category: Technical SupportApril-24-2015 7:09 AM PDT (10 years ago) |
Hello, I bought D3 (digitally, dunno if it's relevant) towards the end of season 2, and I've been having this issue since day 1. I seem to get random network disconnects whenever I switch areas, and only when I switch areas. Sometimes I can change areas 10 times with no problem, sometimes not even once. I can run around within the same area for an hour without a single hitch, the game runs smooth, no lag whatsoever... I allso noticed that when I get dc'ed, I can't seem to get back in the game straight away, I'll get DC'ed instantly (usually restarting the game helps; or switching chars; but not always). Things I've tried so far: Reïnstalled game Updated all my drivers/windows/router firmware. Disabled firewall Uninstalled AntiVirus Opened all the ports on router disabled IPv6 Flushed DNS Connected wired instead of wireless Tried my neighbours network Configured msconfig to only boot windows (and nvidia stuff), but no other software that could cause an issue And probably more stuff I can't remember right now... Allso, this is the only game I've been having issues with, everything else works just fine. 1 3 ms 1 ms 1 ms 192.168.1.1 Latency on the first step of the tracer seems a bit high. Normally it should be around 1ms, the ideal is <1ms. 3 --- 100/ 100 =100% 100/ 100 =100% dD5E0CDA1.access.telenet.be [213.224.205.161] 0/ 100 = 0% | 4 --- 100/ 100 =100% 100/ 100 =100% dD5E0FA46.access.telenet.be [213.224.250.70] You also seem to have packet loss on those steps of the pathping, both inside your provider's network. I would recommend contacting them, and passing the tracer and pathping to them so they can check if everything is fine with your connection. ___________________________________________________________________ Got feedback about the support I'm providing? Could you post couple of the tracers you've done just after a disconnection, please? Just to check if there's any pattern or anomaly on them. You could also try some of the steps in this article, they help in many similar cases: battle.net/support/article/611 When you crash when loading a new area, is the loading time unusually high or it just disconnects straight away? ___________________________________________________________________ Got feedback about the support I'm providing?
