I have been having problems with D3 Since a few days after 2.1 hit.

The first two or three times I would be doing rifts on my crusader when the game would, for about 30 seconds, start freezing with the sound stuttering, then it would BSOD.

And with the most recent incident. I was playing with a wizard friend doing season rifts on my monk when suddenly, the sound goes out completely. No music or sound effects. then about a minute or two later It BSODs.

I'm not 100% sure this is caused by D3. but my computer doesn't seem to have problems unless I'm playing D3.

Rellik,

1. Please post your DXDIAG file so we can get more information about your computer.

Here's a support article that will show you how to get the DXDIAG:

Obtaining System Files

Once you have the DXDIAG file, open it and copy/paste the entire file into your next reply.

2. Let's also download BlueScreenView. BlueScreenView is a free program that scans all of the minidump files created during 'blue screen of death' crashes, and displays the information about all crashes in one table.

Here's a link where that download can be found: http://download.cnet.com/BlueScreenView/3000-2094_4-10965136.html

Once you have that downloaded and installed, open it and locate the most recent crash. Then provide me with the data located in the "Bug Check String", "Bug Check Code", and "Caused by Driver" columns for that crash.

Rellik,

Lets try a different video driver to see if that helps with the BSODs.

Here's a link for the driver download: Nvidia Driver

When you are going to install the driver I would like for you to select "Custom Install" > Uncheck everything except for the graphics driver > Check the "Perform a clean install" box > Continue with the install.

Rellik,

I was just playing last night, doing bounties on my crusader and after about 30 minutes of playtime the sound that plays when you link an item would would sound off, like it was muffled but at the same time quite a bit louder than normal.

When in game, go into the "Options" menu, what option do you have selected for "Sound Channels"?

Rellik,

Ok, for now stick to the lowest sound channel. Sometimes setting it to the highest channel can cause some odd issues.
