| Ever since I started using an AMD card I've been having extremely annoying graphic glitches on certain skills, and environments with lighting effects. I have tried a ton of different drivers, and done clean installs. Here are a few examples: http://i.imgur.com/uJv5fbs.jpg <---- This one is a particularly good example. http://i.imgur.com/9Hg1HhF.jpg http://i.imgur.com/dPPI6zM.jpg If you're having a hard time seeing what's wrong, just look at the bottom of the effects. There's an abrupt, straight line where the effect just ends. It looks unnatural and once you notice it while playing, it's impossible to ignore. I'm currently using the Catalyst 14.7 beta drivers, and I have a Powercolor 7870 GPU. I'd appreciate it greatly if fellow AMD users could tell me which drivers they are using that do not have this graphic glitch. | ||

| Spagetto, I'm not using an AMD card presently but when I did, I used a 5870 and never saw anything like that. Have you tried another card, preferably another AMD model, yet? Can you see if resetting the Catalyst settings to the factory defaults makes a difference? 1. Right click on your desktop, open up Catalyst Control Center. 2. If you do not have Advanced options to begin with, make that happen. 3. In the upper right hand corner of the window, go to Options. (newer versions of CCC will have a Preferences selection instead) 4. Go down to Preferences. (skip if you're already there) 5. Select Restore Factory Defaults. 6. Try playing the game again using your usual settings. And lastly, are you using any other apps in the background that could affect the video, such as any game overlay apps, directX enhancers, that sort of thing? By the way, the 13.12 drivers are fine to use. | SoulArisen, Could you try the other suggestions I gave above except for trying another card? As no other users have come forward with this, it's reasonable to suspect you and Spagetto may have something in common causing this. | SoulArisen, Lowering the Hardware Class would only worsen any problems, you should leave it at what was determined by the game. I'm about to leave for the night and can't think of anything else off the top of my head to try right now. I'll see if I can re-install an ATI 5870 back into my system at home tonight and see if it happens there. The system I'll use currently has SLI'd GTX 670s and Windows 7. | SoulArisen, From what I can gather, the R cards below the R9 290 series are re-branded HD7xxx cards basically. I just need to know if anyone with these cards is not getting the same issues you are. If that's the case, I can't really blame the card series and would have to focus more on the systems the problematic cards are in or their firmware perhaps. We'll have to keep collecting data and hope a pattern develops. | Bergnuts, Thanks for your comments but the issue at hand isn't one of being able to run the game at high settings. Instead, they're experiencing a particular graphics corruption. | Spagetto, I asked them yesterday if they had a chance to look at it yet but unfortunately, they haven't. They know I'm anxious to get some information for those of you experiencing it but they have their own priorities to attend to. This issue, while annoying to say the least, does not prevent people from playing, so I don't expect it to be moved ahead of issues that do prevent playing I'm afraid. | I need a couple of D3Debug.txt files from users experiencing this issue. Ideally, it would be from someone with a higher end AMD card (R9 290 or 290X). The file is located in the main Diablo III game folder.
