| Alright. I used to play diablo a while ago and just went to patch today and play some and it no longer works for me. Patch went through fine but when I went to play after that I get no video signal. The tv I have the game hooked up to simply switches back and forth between saying unsupported video signal and no video signal. Any ideas what is wrong? Bad patch? To be clear. I have played on this computer in the past with everything about it being the same and never had this issue before. I probably patched a few patches at the same time here, so no clue exactly what patch might have caused the issue. Any ideas on what to do would be appreciated. I can note that this happened one time before for me when I installed a seperate game, however when that happened I lost the signal to everything. Currently I only get the no video signal/unsupported signal if I try to play D3. | ||

| Prozzak, Using an HDTV as a computer monitor isn't really supported as they can be finicky sometimes to get working properly depending on how compatible they are. That being said, they can usually be made to work though in some cases, it requires playing in one of the windowed modes due to a refresh issue with the TV. Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| DaVinchi, DisplayModeRefreshRate "150" This is going mess it up pretty badly. Edit the line to this: DisplayModeRefreshRate "60" Then try it again. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Cybersmurfer, DisplayModeRefreshRate "170" This is going to cause trouble. Change the value to 60 and try the game again. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| CarbonUnit, I'd change the value here to 60 in addition to changing the refresh rate for your desktop to also be 60Hz, to match your screen's native rate. DisplayModeRefreshRate "50" I'd also enable vsync Vsync "0" (change the 0 to a 1) From your dxdiag info: Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (50Hz) Monitor Name: ThinkPad Display 1920x1080 Monitor Model: unknown Monitor Id: LEN40B2 Native Mode: 1920 x 1080(p) (60.042Hz) _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| CarbonUnit, I see the problem possibly. Name: NVIDIA Quadro 2000M If this is being used by the game, it could be the issue. You might try opening your Nvidia Control panel and if there's a game profile for Diablo III, set it to use the Intel on-board HD for now to see if it runs the game. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Soulfly, I have a few suggestions but it's pretty hard to diagnose an intermittent stuttering issue without being able to see the computer and symptoms first-hand. To start, make a few changes in your D3prefs.txt file. Change these lines LimitForegroundFPS "1" LimitBackgroundFPS "1" ChannelsToUse "64" to LimitForegroundFPS "0" LimitBackgroundFPS "0" ChannelsToUse "32" Then, see if you can find updated drivers for your sound device. The ones you have currently are from 2011. Description: Speakers (SB Recon3D PCIe) Default Sound Playback: Yes Default Voice Playback: Yes Driver Name: cthda.sys Driver Version: 6.00.0100.1015 (English) Driver Attributes: Final Retail Date and Size: 11/4/2011 02:04:45, 1265752 bytes Lastly, open your Nvidia Control Panel and up near the top right side, select the option to "restore Defaults". See if any of this helps in the game. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
