| Hello! I've tried submitting a ticket on this issue but of course, the webpage does not load once I click "Submit Ticket" Copy and pasted due to laziness Whenever I play Diablo 3 within 10 minutes or so of playing my game crashes and it causes my whole computer to crash. One of the times a message came up on my screen that said cannot reconnect to D3D please try again. The only way I can use my computer at all after this happens is to restart my pc. Please help I would enjoy to play the game i paid for. | ||

| Haxedyourcat, Overheating might be a cause for your symptom. Download and run HWMonitor from: http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.24-setup.exe Now start the game and let it run several minutes. Then exit or alt-tab out and see what the highest temperature is that was reached for both the cpu and gpu. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Haxedyourcat, It doesn't appear to be heat-related then. Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Haxedyourcat, I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary at all. You've got a really nice system that shouldn't be having trouble as far as the hardware goes. A couple of questions though. You have 32 gig system ram. Assuming this is made up of 4 8 gig modules, are they all matched, meaning they have the have the same part number and are from the same vendor? You may be experiencing a TDR error. Could you check the system log under Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer >Windows Logs (along the left side) > System You can filter the log and check just the "Error" box to make it easier to skim through. I'm looking for any kind of error message corresponding with the times you see the crashes. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff569917(v=vs.85).aspx _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Haxedyourcat, "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." That's what I was looking for. It's a TDR condition. I'd like you to read through an Nvidia forum post that explains what can cause a TDR error and a few things that might resolve it. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/389688/geforce-drivers/nvidia-statement-on-tdr-errors-display-driver-nvlddmkm-stopped-/ _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| SuperMcNasty, I never stated it was an Nvidia issue. TDR errors can affect any manufacturer's video card which is mentioned clearly in the forum post I linked. I just use Nvidia's post as I find it to be very useful and easy to understand the issue. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
