I have been through all the support based articles and the forums. I can DL the client start file, start the install but as soon as it starts the download it crashes. Disabled AV and it still does not install. Any assistance is welcome, thanks for your time.

Can you describe what happens when it "crashes"? Are there any messages?

What antivirus product are you using that's been disabled?

Sounds like a permissions problem still. Are you sure you checked that Internet Explorer wasn't set to work offline and that you aren't using a proxy under the connections tab as described in the article I had you try?

I need you to check that Internet Explorer isn't set to work offline. To do that, start it, hit Alt-F, and see if that option is enabled and disable it if it is.

Could you please list your running processes and services?

Hit the Windows key + R, and type:

msinfo32

Then hit Enter or Ok.

This will bring up System Information.

Click on the + sign next to Software Environments
Click on Running Tasks
Click on one item on the right side
Click on Edit, and then Select All (Or hit Ctrl-A)
Click on Edit, and the Copy (Or hit Ctrl-C)

Then Paste everything into a reply.

Then click on Services
Click on one item on the right side
Click on Edit, and then Select All (Or hit Ctrl-A)
Click on Edit, and the Copy (Or hit Ctrl-C)

Paste everything into the post.

There's evidence of an app called Privoxy being installed which is known to cause issues with installing our games. We really can't go any further in troubleshooting until we're certain it's removed, which unfortunately can be difficult sometimes. Sometimes it's included with another app call Tor which will just reinstall it if it sees it's gone.

You can try uninstalling from the Control Panel > Programs and Features applet but like I said it might be hard to remove. You may need to have a local tech remove it for you.
