| Hey Guys, since the patch 2.1.0 I can't start the game using SLI on my computer all I am getting is the "An error occurred resetting D3D. Click OK to retry", eventually the game crashes and I am back to the desktop, I tried to submit a ticket sending the MSINFO and DXDIAG system configuration but also after I sent my information, I got another error where "the page can't be displayed" and I got no tickets, this is very frustrating, since I love to play Diablo. Those errors are replicable, any help please? Thanks | ||

| LuisG, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| LuisG, Are you able to play if you disable SLI in your Alienware? From your thread's title, I would assume you can but from your last post, it says you haven't been able to play at all yet? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| LuisG, Could you try editing your D3Prefs.txt file located in My Documents\Diablo III. Using a text editor like Notepad, change both of these lines. DisplayModeWindowMode "0" Vsync "0" to DisplayModeWindowMode "1" Vsync "1" This will place you in windowed mode and enable vsync. I just want to to see if one or both of these changes resolves your issue. Make sure you've re-enabled SLI of course. Save the file and try the game again now. ________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| LuisG, I think I'd check for driver updates from Dell. You have several older ones dating back as far as 2008. Have you checked with Dell to verify your model is fully compatible with Windows 8.1 as well? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| LuisG, I can't really offer much then other than to maybe suggest trying different releases of Nvidia's video drivers, if their reference releases will install/run on your laptop. Our games don't take advantage of SLI or Crossfire configurations but using them is not disallowed. We wouldn't do anything to keep the game from running if they're used. Many people using dual GPUs on desktop PCs, myself included, are playing fine. Not being able to run the latest drivers for your devices in the laptop may be the problem but then again it may not. There's no way to know though. One other possible option would be to revert to the operating system the laptop came with that's supported by Dell. Or, you can just play with SLI disabled. Perhaps another user with the same configuration will chime in with his results or you could ask in a Dell support forum? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
