| Loading patch 2.1 = "out of range" on monitor(1) | Category: Technical SupportAugust-26-2014 4:12 PM PDT (8 years ago) ![]() | |
| Anyone else having this problem? My screen turns black and says "out of range" in the middle of the monitor when I try to load D3 with the 2.1 patch. I can still hear the D3 music playing when I load it though. It used to work fine before the patch, and other games still work when I load them. | ||

| Mathias, Try editing your D3Prefs.txt file located in My Documents\Diablo III. Using a text editor like Notepad, change either or both of these lines if they exist. DisplayModeWindowMode "0" Vsync "0" to DisplayModeWindowMode "1" Vsync "1" Save the file and try the game again now. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Mathias, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Mathias, The native specs for your monitor: Native Mode: 1680 x 1050(p) (59.954Hz) What you're using in Diablo III: DisplayModeWidth "1680" ok DisplayModeHeight "1050" ok DisplayModeRefreshRate "75" not ok? (Manufacturer says 50Hz - 75Hz but this may be causing your problem) Change the refresh rate to 60 with notepad as you did earlier and then see if full screen mode works properly _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
