| Ok, so I received "Diablo 3" as part of the annual pass promotion. I suffered the indignity of the Blue Screen of Death and as such had to get a new hard drive. I re-installed the game. My problem is that when I start the game, either by way of the launcher or the .exe program itself, I am presented with a black screen. The Diablo icon is on the task bar, so when I click on that, the black screen pops back up, I can hear music for about 3 seconds, and then back to the desktop. I did some research on this problem and none of the suggested fixes have worked. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance! | ||

| Rowsdower, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file?
