| What is the optimal amount of memory to run D(1) | Category: Technical SupportAugust-14-2014 10:07 AM PDT (8 years ago) ![]() | |
| I have an HP Pavilion Touchsmart D17 laptop with 4 GB of memory. I have Diablo III installed on it as it is now the only computer I have. Whenever I play Diablo III, I often get low memory warnings so I have to shut down extra programs to free up memory. I know to solve this problem, I have to put in extra DIMMs in my laptop or swap out the 4 GB DIMM for and 8GB one. But the latter one is the likely way I'll go since I do not know the make or model of the DIMM in my laptop. So my question is how much memory is required to run Diablo 3 optimally? I also like to have winamp playing my favorite gothic tune while I play Diablo III | ||

| WyreWizard, 4 gig system ram ought to be fine unless you have a lot of other memory intensive apps running at the same time as you're trying to play. If you happen to be running Windows 8.1, you may have run into a bug it has wherein if you run a game at a resolution different than the desktop resolution, you can get the Low Memory warnings. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-gaming/windows-81-x64-low-memory-while-playing-full/e4602805-a1e1-4704-b006-92f43247b9e8 _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
