| Hi! I have a strang problem. WHen I set the clutter density to medium or hight, the game's fps drops at certain areas to 30-45 fps (normally it is at 60). Why does that happen? My config: 4 gb ddr3 ram (1067mhz overclocked to 1333 mhz in dual chanel) intel q8300 processor hd 6870 windforce 1 gb gddr5 videocard it can handle far cry 3 on ultra settings without any problem and a lot of other recent games... Thanks for the answers! | ||

| AddaeDans, You can try disabling vertical sync in-game. If enabled, the game is going to try to always keep the fps at your monitor's refresh rate (60Hz). If it can't for whatever reason, it's going to drop down as you're seeing it do. You may prefer the quality that enabling vertical sync provides over the frame rate increase you'd get from disabling it. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| AddaeDans, Increasing your ram's speed would have only a very slight impact on performance, if it were even noticeable. In looking at your hardware, if there were a weak point, I'd probably go with the cpu first. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core2+Quad+Q8300+%40+2.50GHz and then the video card. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+6870 There are many more variables to consider though. This is not a recommendation to upgrade these components, just an observation. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
