So i decided since there are common times when i hit high density on my D3 that i wanted to just turn all my graphics down because i'd rather have a smooth game than a laggy one, but my system is not a slow one really...but thats besides the point. When i try putting the Texture Quality on Low and hit Accept, it gives me a black screen and i cant see anything but my mouse, so please help!

Dragonblud,

Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)
Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here.

Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder.

Dragonblud,

Try enabling Vertical Sync in game by editing the D3Prefs.txt file.

Change

Vsync "0"

to

Vsync "1"

This shouldn't be necessary, I wouldn't think, but see what happens.

You can also try updating your AMD Catalyst drivers to the latest release (14.4) or the latest beta (14.7), both of which are found on the following link.

I honestly don't know. It's a suggestion other users have offered to the symptom you were reporting. I've never experienced it personally.
