| What are the Battlenet programdata files?(1) | Category: Technical SupportJuly-27-2014 8:30 PM PDT (8 years ago) ![]() | |
| I have the Battlenet desktop application installed on to an F: drive and it seems to be functioning as expected. The folder itself clocks in at about 222MB. However, on my C: drive in the hidden Programdata folder, I have another Battle.net folder as well as an additional Battle.net subfolder under a Blizzard Entertainment folder. The Battle.net folder clocks in at 390MB while the one under the Blizzard Entertainment folder is 491MB. Both seem to be actively modified while containing different files. I'm curious as to why a game launcher and chat application is nearly a GB in size and if any of this can be trimmed or moved. | ||

| kelston, The Battle.net folder contains launcher tools files. I checked mine and it's about 117mb. The Blizzard Entertainment folder contains cached data for the Battle.net launcher. Mine is about 91.8mb. Both of those folder can be deleted. The data contained in them will be redownloaded the next time the Battle.net Desktop App is launched. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Sunday through Thursday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Support Contact Information Got some feedback? | ||
