| I recently upgraded to windows windows 8.1 from windows 7 and everything is updated and all my hardware works fine. Nothing was changed besides windows 7 to 8.1. All I have open on my computer is Diablo and chrome and about every hour or sometimes less my computer will partly freeze, I can move the mouse around but not tab or click on anything, task manager doesn't work either. After a while of waiting it'll tab out, but you can't interact with anything and the sounds of diablo will just keep stuttering. And this will happen too if I just leave the computer on without anything open and I go afk for a couples hour to go outside or workout. And when I come back it has crashed. | ||

| Dastaria, And this will happen too if I just leave the computer on without anything open and I go afk for a couples hour to go outside or workout. And when I come back it has crashed. So you're saying it happens without the game running or being started at all? Just the OS running? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Dastaria, If your system was stable before updating the Operating System to Windows 8.1, I'd suspect a device driver somewhere needs updating now. Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Dastaria, Let's see if updating your Realtek sound drivers helps first. These are the latest from the manufacturer: http://bit.ly/1rnlvdw This link is to a direct download of the drivers. I can't tell if you built your own system or are using a name brand model, but you should check with the manufacturer (system or motherboard) for the latest chipset drivers for Windows 8.1 and make sure they're installed. There's also a Windows update you should probably install as well. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2962409 _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Dastaria, Ok, apply the updates, reboot, and let it sit and see if it crashes again after waiting however long it used to take to crash. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Dastaria, I assume you just had the OS running at the time and nothing else? We're going to need to find out something about the actual crash. Open the Event Viewer in the Control Panel under Administrative Tools. Expand the Windows Logs along the left side. Click on System. We're looking for events highlighted with a red circle with an exclamation point inside. Scroll through the log and look for what was reported just before these events. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Dastaria, The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\_??_USBSTOR#Disk&Ven_Sony&Prod_USB___HS-MS_Card&Rev_3.95#0000001212B6&2#{53f56307-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b} Any idea what device this is referring to? Do you have anything made by Sony plugged into a USB port? This article on another site may be applicable too. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Dastaria, If you open the Device Manager applet inside the Control Panel, are there are entries with a yellow exclamation point beside them? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Dastaria, I'm going to have to recommend taking your system into a repair center to have it checked out. If all you do is boot it up and don't run any programs and it crashes shortly thereafter, there's something wrong with the hardware or operating system installation. Without an actual error message indicating where a problem might be occurring, all I'm doing is guessing. Honestly, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with a Blizzard game as well. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
