Hi :-)

I can not log into the game through Battnet Agent :-((

I enter my email and password and then click-on blue LOG IN click-on which lights up and takes me to the authenticator page. I correctly enter the Authenticator number, the blue LOG IN click-on lights up but when I click on it absolutely nothing happens. The click-on tab is dead as a door nail.

This happened once before but I forgot how I finally fixed it. I know a clean reinstall does not work.

Contacting support on-line or a ticket is hopeless--if you can't log-in they assume that your account has been hacked and require all sorts of photo IDs and other means of identification and then rollback your account. I get no message that my account name or password or authenticator number is wrong on either screen. Also on the Authenticator page even the "X" to close the window is dead and have to close it with my tray icon.

Was there a new patch to Battlenet Today that perhaps I have not yet received?????

I had no issues last night.

I can log in to the forum, obviously, and to my account but not to the game.

I'm not seeing anything on your account that could explain any problems you may be having.

Could you try this support article please which will delete the Battle.net Cache files, allowing the system to rebuild them?

I'm not sure why you were looking for something called "data"?

Delete the C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment folder.

It actually does say to do that in the article I linked.

"If a Blizzard Entertainment folder exists in the directory, right-click it and select Delete."

We're talking about the Desktop App's sign in screen? The password field should open and allow entry when anything at all is typed into the account name field, whether it's correct or not. Are you saying yours is not?

Can you check under Services in Administrative Tools and see if the Secondary Logon Service is started?

Also, make sure your Flash Player is up to date. I'm also curious if you happened to update java recently?

Lastly, you might try making a new Windows User account and seeing if helps.

If you click on the highlighted words in my post for the links, they should go to the pages properly. When looking at a page after that, the links get messed up as they're broken down into text.

Did you try a new User account?

You can also try bypassing the Desktop App if you want. To do that, create a desktop shortcut to the Diablo III.exe file on your desktop. Add a -launch tag to the Target line for the shortcut under properties after the last quote. There needs to be a space before the -launch. It should look like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch

Uninstall the Desktop App and this new shortcut should run the game with old internal launcher. this won't last forever as we're going to eventually be requiring the Desktop App for all of our non-classic games, but if you think it's a Desktop App issue, this should let you play until we can figure out what's up.
