| Hi, couple of weeks ago when I ran D3 RoS , it was fine. But today I tried to run the game and I am getting nothing but black screen , no display at all but the music and sound effects are running smoothly and I can even start the game and get into town if I click at the right spots on my blank screen and when I click my mouse I can hear the sound effects for attacks. The bottom line is that the game is running without any display and there is not crashing at all. I am using NVidia GT 740 M, (up to date driver) 2 gigs dedicated memory, 8 GB RAM and Intel i7 4700-MQ processor. I have been playing the game since release, off and on and never had any problem. But now all of a sudden the display is gone. Please help. | ||

| Windspear, Let's try running the game in windowed mode to see if that helps. Here's how: Go into your Documents\Diablo III folder > open the D3Prefs.txt file > locate the DisplayModeWindowMode line and change the "0" to "1" for windowed mode or "2" for full screen windowed mode > save and close the D3Prefs.txt file and launch the game. Try either windowed mode to see if that helps. | For those of you running Windows 8.1 and using a hybrid PC (integrated and discrete video), there are a couple of Microsoft hotfixes you might want to look into installing.
