| I can't believe it's still not fixed and all I see in forums from blues that "try another driver or check your temp or d3prefs file hardware setting" non of these helping... What is more strange that there is no any information about crash anywhere in windows event or d3debug file!? So how it happens you play game all seems okay I'am using radeon pro software for monitoring my fps and gpu temp max 60c average 55c fan working normally I can play game on max settings 1920x1080 no problems here vsync on 60fps I tryed lowering graphics no difference in performance just graphics looks worse black screen appears from nowhere most of the time it happens in town when I opening caches or crafting or enchanting everything seems normal no changes in temp suddenly my monitor turns off and pc locks nothing can be done only reset helps but when pc reboots I check problem everywhere in all events nothing about problem just "The previous system shutdown at 23:22:08 on ?2014-?06-?19 was unexpected." and in d3debug last message "2014.06.19 23:19:51.347754600 >>> Zeus BnetGuild::RequestGuildNewsList_TryRequestNow guildId=69379 wasNewNewsAvailable=0 isUserInitiated=0 waitedMs=0" "2014.06.19 23:19:51.348047200 SendGuildMessage hero:Zeus id:69 count:1" From these last logs I just could say that sending guild message cause this black screen but it happens not always only sometimes in my case this crash is rare and only in diablo game! | ||

| goatmonster, If running the different driver didn't help, it sounds like you are most likely running into a TDR issue. My recommendation would be to change the registry key you modified back to what it was before and then checkout this article about TDR errors. Here's a link to the article.
