| Fun build, view bronn in my profile. It's a cold build that does a lot more dps than my EQ barb. With ancients fury, you can spam seismic slam permafrost and with 40% CDR, avalanche glacier is basically on a 4-5 second cooldown. I am leveraging tasker and theo for it and the ancients attack SO fast that I doubt I will even need unforgiving, so I may try a different skill there. Since the ancients are physical, I am also going to experiment with the rumble rune and physical damage and keep avalanche on the bar for CC. I went straight into t4 in HC with it and it clears faster than my EQ barb at that level. Still trying to figure out how to get the survivability up with it for T5. The problem is vortex mobs, especially vortex + fire chains, since there is no escape ability. I may just put relentless in place of unforgiving for this. But man, if you activate WOTB with this, you can just shred packs and it's a lot more fun than leaping around and waiting 7 seconds. I killed 4 packs at once in about 5 seconds when they were all grouped up in the keeps map. It was awesome. The seismic slam skill looks awesome too and it's nice actively attacking things vs trying to plant earthquakes around the map. I also tried a varient combined with COLD MOTE, but it wasn't as fun to me, because tasker and theo is hilarious and you can't use it with mote. Plus, I wanted an alt that wasn't relying on earthquake. Anyway, just another alternative. I think combined with SOR, it could be T6 viable. | ||

Best thing about a good cold barb is helping friends who dont have top gear and want to farm the highest torment possible. I frequently carry friends on T5/T6 (T6 as long as I have one heavy hitter, we can carry 2) who usually farm a lot lower, and they have fun killing stuff as its frozen and not dying before they get there. I haven't been very lucky with getting my EQ set, but your cold build makes me want to find one more than I previously did. That looks like a lot of fun, and a cold build has always peaked my interest more than the other elements. Good stuff! | ||

I ran with Seismic Slam - Permafrost, and Avalanche - Glacier for a while when I first crafted my Utar's Roar, and the combination has some really nice control. I didn't have 4 IK at the time, but I think I'll go back and try it again. I'm sure that would really help with the resource issues I was running into at the time. A lot of great info about cold Barbarians in this thread! | ||
