| "My game constantly freezes in act 1. 99% of the time crashes and hard reset is only option. I have done everything. I have had d3 since day 1 and it always worked fine even on higher settings. I've been trying to start a new char but game crashes after 30 secs. I have had to hard restart maybe 100 times now. I keep on thinking its gonna work this time.. After hard reset today my computer would not restart. I've been a blizzard fan since d1, I am a student and a father (bad idea, apparently), I cannot pay for a new laptop. P.s. I think this started happening after the new b.net launcher went online." -via my incomplete support ticket. I tried writing a support ticket for this but the ticket needs my dxdiag file and such but obviously my cpu won't turn on so I couldn't complete the ticket. Please bump this so I can get some blue attention. | ||

| Samson, With no real info to go on related to your crashing/freezing, I'll start with possible overheating which is pretty common in laptops. This is mainly due to your comment "After hard reset today my computer would not restart." Could you please download and run HWMonitor from: http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.24-setup.exe Start the game up then and let it run several minutes followed by exiting or alt-tabbing out and seeing what the highest temperature is that was reached for both the cpu and gpu.
