I try to open the battlenet client and d3 and get the same error message on both that says,
"The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'Battle.net.Ink' refers to is unavailable make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again." help :(

Ok, are you getting this error now when the Desktop App is starting or when the game is starting after being called from the Desktop App?

Try uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it if you would please.

If you run the Event Viewer applet in the Control Panel under Administrative Tools, and expand the Windows Logs along the left side, scroll through the System Log and see if there are any errors in the last day or so. You can filter the log with the options on the right to just look for errors too. I'm looking for anything abnormal that could be tied to a hardware issue.

A screenshot may help, yes. If the errors are the same, it might help to expand one of them in a screenshot as well.
