Game randomly crashing.(1)Category: Technical SupportMay-17-2014 9:02 AM PDT (9 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
Hi, I've heard from most of my friends that ever since the hotfix they are not experiencing game crashes anymore, however I'm still getting occasional crash here and there.

I can still play the game, but it's a little bit frustrating to get these random crashes and hopefully I can get some advice/help so I could continue enjoying the game to the fullest.

I've found a log file(Repair-on-demand) in the Diablo III Log folder and it says:

For today it states that it's the Texture.mpq, and Clientdata.mpq causing the crashes. For yesterday, it seems like something else is causing the crashes:

---------

As I scroll up, I found that these are the problems I face since May 12th, which is a couple days before the 2.0.5 patch, I've never had such problems prior and have been playing since few months ago(few days after release of RoS). I tried it on another system(an old laptop), I get the occasional stuck on loading screen, which forces me to close the game and reopen it.

As my game crashed, I have this window pop up and gave me a code: 66097B53-0AF3-4DFF-85DA-BC9D65031B52

Any assistance is appreciated.

Game randomly crashing.(2)May-17-2014 12:23 PM PDT (9 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
Marc,

I'd try reinstalling the game actually. The built-in repair on demand utility may not be able to fully fix what it's finding to be corrupted.

Random corruption like you're seeing could possibly be due to system memory issues too.
