Oomed,

It doesn't really mean much to me as it's from a Microsoft error log and not the game.

What's the problem you're having exactly? Are there any error messages coming up on the screen? What steps, if any, have you already tried to resolve it?

Oomed,

Let's take a look at your hardware setup. Maybe something will stand out to me.? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)
Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here.

Oomed,

As igniteice suggests, running an exhaustive memory test overnight would be a good start.

I suggest Memtest86+. It needs to be downloaded and installed onto removable media like a flash drive or cd/dvd rom so it can be booted.

http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

It will be in iso format so you'll need to be familiar with how to extract that format onto removable boot media. See if you can run it overnight with no errors. If it does, get a copy of Prime95 next which is a cpu/ram stress app.

http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Prime95-Download-76537.html

This one can heat up a cpu pretty quickly so I usually ask people to also run a temp monitoring app alongside it to ensure they're not running too hot. See if it can run for an hour or two without errors.

Oomed,

I can't really do theoretical troubleshooting based on "what ifs". I need to know that the suggestions I give are followed, not that someone else did "all that" without any specifics as to what they actually did.

Can you work with them in their shop and run the game and get it to fail while they're watching?

Oomed,

I asked that an exhaustive memory test be performed overnight and that Prime95 was run for a couple of hours. Running these tesst for just a short time isn't going to really rule out any issues with the ram/cpu.

Were you able to run the game in front of their techs and get it to fail?
