I will try once again to explain why trading had to stop and why it's not coming back. They raised the drop rates and stopped trading for two main reasons. 1) Everyone “can†find the items they need to play endgame. 2) Stop third party sites from ruining the game. Now there are 95% of legendary items types, that we've all seen drop constantly. Chests, Legs, (1h) Weapons, etc.... Yes there is 5% of items, we are all looking for, these items we will call the “epic elite legs†and for the purpose of this topic will be ignored. Now... In the next hour or two, I will wager a “GUESSâ€, that 50 people will get a nice (1h) sword (2300 dps and socket) that they “do not need†because they are already using a good (1h) sword (2300 dps and socket). So now we have 50 (1h) swords (2300 dps and socket) that you want to allow people to trade correct ? But I'm using a good (1h) sword (2150 dps and socket). Am I going to pay you all my gold for that 150 extra dps ? No, besides, this hour I may find your sword, on my own. So now you put your sword in the auction house for 10 million gold. Now what about the other 49 (1h) swords (2300 dps and socket) found that hour? The next guy, sees your sword selling for 10 million, so he puts his in to sell quickly (he hopes) for 9.5 million. Then we have the next guy, and the next, and the next, and so on... in three hours your 1h sword is now not worth taking the time to trade. This is just not about swords, I'm talking about chests, legs, gloves and so on. Now lets add in the mystic. 25 people find Magefists, this hour and put them into the auction house, that can easily be re-rolled by a player to be the perfect gloves for them. Now we don't only have to be concerned about “dropped statsâ€, but also what can be re-rolled. So once again the price war starts. | ||
