| Launcher stuck on intializing, won't patch...(1) | Category: Technical SupportMay-13-2014 9:51 PM PDT (9 years ago) ![]() | |
| Please help me figure this out: It says "initializing" then nothing happens. This happened before in the past and the only way I solved it was reinstalling Windows. This is a Battle.net only machine meaning I don't run any other programs except for the occasional internet browser, firewall and antivirus software. I am on a private network, not college or other. It seems this problem coincides with patches based on past problems and 2.0.5 coming out today. Here are the list of things I've tried on my Windows 7 PC: *note: I did all this running administrator mode and doing restarts in between. -tried deleting agent.db -tried deleting agent folder -tried deleting battle.net folder -flushed dns -netsh winsock reset -disabled antivirus and firewall -uninstalled antivirus and firewall -reinstalled bnet -ran a selective startup -connected to the internet directly through the modem instead of router This seems to be a widespread problem based on the following posts and I'm very frustrated as it has happened to me multiple times with the only fix being to reinstall Windows: http://goo.gl/EpzGDL | ||

| icabod, Could you try opening your Internet Explorer browser and then hitting Alt-F to bring up the File tab options? Check to see if "Work offline" is checked and uncheck it if it is. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
