| In order to investigate the recent rash of reports regarding cursor lag with the release of 2.0.4, could I get anyone experiencing this to provide some information please? Use this thread for your responses rather than creating new threads. We'd like to know: [information no longer needed] *** Update *** A user over in the EU came up with a better workaround/solution for this issue. What's causing the problem is using a non-standard (default) Windows display font setting higher than 100%. If you want to use 125% for example, go ahead and make the change and log out and back in to Windows to get the change to take effect. then, go back to the Desktop Display settings and along the left side, click the Set Custom Text Size (DPI) option. Uncheck the box labeled "Use Windows XP Style DPI scaling. Save, and logout from Windows again and then back in. The desktop font size should remain and the game should behave normally again with two exceptions that I've found. When in fullscreen mode, the cursor will not be locked to the game screen in a multi-monitor setup. The second issue is that the text in Windows apps and the desktop may be a little fuzzier than normal which many users will not want to accept. For those users, resetting the font size to the default 100% is the only workaround we can suggest at this time. I'd like to thank user Dainekas in the EU for this solution. *** 4/14/2014 Latest update *** The devs are still working on a solution with no ETA at this time. For now, we can only suggest using the workarounds in this post. | Devldyk , Could you try a quick test for me? As you seem to prefer using a size of 125%, try using a custom size of 124% or 126% instead and see if the issue still remains in Diablo III. | * Update * I can reproduce this here on my work desktop by running Windows at a higher display font size of 125%. Cursor response when playing in fullscreen isn't as crisp and the gloved gauntlet cursor becomes corrupted when mousing over selectable objects. This info has been passed on to the department able to investigate it. I'm afraid I don't have any sort of ETA at this time as to what they'll be able to do about it or when. As for a possible workaround right now, changing the desktop font size back to 100% (the default) seems to work. | Thanks everyone for the info. We no longer need any additional reports. Our QA Department is investigating the issue now. As I mentioned above, the workaround that's helping most people is to set the Windows Desktop font setting to the default of 100%.
