| These things should drop gold like end bosses drop on first kills. They should drop as much as goblins drop as far as loot is concerned. Is there any reason why these are so bad? | ||

Is there any reason why these are so bad? Resplendent Chests are currently a little less "resplendent" than they should be, and it's something we've already looked at. These should be improved in an upcoming patch, to make the treasures that lie within more deserving of their container's name. :) | ||

Do you guys have any details on the changes they'll be getting? Right now I feel like normal chests are more worth it than Resplendents. It took me some time to dig into the kind of changes that were going on behind the scenes with Resplendent Chests, but here we go! There was a bug associated with Resplendent Chests that was causing them to drop the incorrect loot for their type. This was basically a holdover from prior to 2.0.1 where stacks of Nephalem Valor affected the loot that would drop from these chests, and unfortunately it was missed in the original 2.0.1 patch. Because it involves code that's a little deeper than the surface, it's not something we're able to hotfix and will require a patch to address. | ||

It's a complex game with a lot of code, bugs happen. Pretty much this. We have a lot of fantastic folks working on this game, but ultimately they are all human, and this was a result of human error. For that, we apologize. We do our utmost to catch everything we can, but when things slip through the cracks, the best we can provide is as quick a resolution as possible. It's why your threads, reports, and feedback are so important, and we can't thank you enough for helping us track down these sneaky little buggers. :) | ||
