Possible [FIX]-Battle.net app has stopped working(1)Category: Technical SupportOctober-13-2014 6:36 AM PDT (8 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
Several people lately have had an issue with their battlenet launcher instantly crashing on startup. As soon as the app is started up, windows gives the error message: Battle.net app has stopped working. After clicking "ok" the app is closed.

What fixed it for me was to uninstall a program called "lightspark". I'm not sure where this program came from, but i have no recollection of installing it manually, must have come with another program or software update.

You can find a list of programs by opening the "control panel". After that click on "programs" and then "programs and features". This will open a list of installed programs. In this list, find the program called lightspark. Simply rightclick it and uninstall/remove.

After removing lightspark, my launcher worked just fine again.

Hope this helped!
