| Velli , Did you update your drivers from Nvidia's site or from your laptop manufacturer's? You may need to use the latest from the manufacturer even if they're not the latest release Nvidia has. Laptop manufacturers often make changes to the drivers to allow for proprietary hardware features they add. Nvidia's drivers may "break" some functionality which may explain why you're not able to auto switch properly. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Velli , What steps have you taken to get the game to run on the Nvidia device? Did you create a game profile in the Nvidia Control Panel? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Velli, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Velli , Let's try the following.
Right click on the Diablo III.exe file and select "Create shortcut". Move the shortcut created to your desktop. Right click on the new shortcut and select "Properties" Go to the end of the Target line and after the last set of quotes, add a space and -launch and hit OK. Close your Battle.net Desktop app if it's open. Now start the game from the new shortcut. It's going to bypass the Battle.net Desktop App now. See if the Nvidia video device is being used. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Velli , I see you also have World of Warcraft on your account and that it's current. Could you post the gx.log file from your World of Warcraft\Logs folder please? The game (WoW) needs to be closed when you grab the file contents. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Velli, I don't have Wow installed on my computer. Sorry about that, I was looking at the poster's account just above, not yours. I don 't have much of anything left to suggest really. We know there are issues with programs detecting and switching to the discrete video devices and we're cooperating with the major developers Nvidia, AMD, Intel, and Microsoft to get them resolved. In your case, about all I can still come up with is to uninstall the current Intel and Nvidia (Acer) video drivers installed and then run a driver cleaner app to make sure they're completely removed, then reinstall both drivers from Acer. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
