| TLDR at bottom. I would like to propose a suggestion to remove gold from the game for the following reasons. Gold, what is it? The currency that enables the player to purchase items, craft items and repair items. The problems: For most of the pre ros players, we already had a huge sum of gold saved up so the problem doesn't even exist in the first place. The rarity of rerolling items, the increased cost, upgrading gems. Basically it means nothing to us and we can do it when we want, however many times we want. That necklace that's trifecta but 90% chd, or 9% cc, endless rerolls. Doesn't even matter 2mill rerolls? Doesn't bother me at all. I've rerolled and geared out 3 lvl 70's. New starters, while the guy next to them is able to endlessly reroll any item he or she deems worthy. this person is flat out aquiring enough gold to upgrade gems... While this may not seem like a problem on its own i'll give an example. I played a game with my fiance earlier, was good we were farming stuff having fun until 1 thing happened, she found a item she wanted to upgrade fair enough we bought her account a few days before ros was released for the discounted price couldn't buy gold off the AH. Oh, and gold is boa so i can't just give her 100mill. Okay, she farmed up the 300k gold to spend on rerolling the item, it rerolled the 110 vit to 80 vit. and a bunch of other useless stats. before too long her gold was out and the item was at the exact same position it was in the first place. Gold is BOA.... this doesn't even need to be explained. BoA = another crafting material. So you're bottlenecked with a decision, farm for days or sell your yellow/blue/legendary items. Ultimately this is an unenjoyable gaming experience. You sell all your items, you need the materials from them to craft stuff in the first place. Gold to repair items. Okay, other solution would be to remove durability from them and have it so you just lose exp. ****NOT COOL BRO**** This feature requires a rework for gold to be removed fro the game. I had an idea while it may appeal to some, it might not to others. \\\\\\\\\ repairs functionality has been changed. Durability works as normal. Instead of gold to repair a new currency has been added to the game. Souls or blacksmith orbs. When you kill a mob it has a 75% - 100% chance to drop this currency, 1 currency = 1 durability.//////// This idea on its own would stop those people exploiting 1 mob. since you have about 300 points needed to repair a full set from 0 - full repair. 300 mobs isn't a big ordeal if it's 100% chance. This also stops people from going into the game way out of their league and dying constantly using another form of an exploit to obtain loot out of their gear/tier progression. Why do you even need gold to buy items off the shop ? Why not make them slightly better as if they were normal drops. remove gold add another cost feature to the game. "Gems" using x gems of this type lets you buy this item. 1 gem = crappy blue item 2 gems = a sub expert gear. You would need to change gems to impliment this. Remove everything below a flawless square the same system that's implimented in RoS marquise drop then get upgraded. Flawless squares drop from 0 - 60 and then they get upgraded. this is my idea if you support these please bump the thread daily/weekly/monthly if you have to, get the attention of the dev team, make it be known that this is what we want. ************* TLDR: *************** gold is just another crafing mat at the moment, while the people that already have it are fine, the new starters suffer greatly. These is no point for gold to exist outside of repair bills and buying items off the shops. | ||
