| Just realized this is probably the right place for this. I just came back from a long break and had to go through an hour of hoops to update this game. I can no longer see any part of the game from launch. I can hear the music which tells me that the game has begun, but cannot see anything except the cursor. I am on the same rig that I was a year ago when it was working just fine. pls someone help? | ||

| Juxtapose, Can you post some information about your computer so I can see what you have exactly? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Juxtapose, You can post all of it. If it happens to be too long for a single post, split it up into two. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Juxtapose, Do you happen to have a regular computer monitor you can use, even if it's only to test? We really don't support the use of an HDTV as a display device as you're doing here. That's not to say they won't work, they do, but they can be troublesome sometimes. I checked the user manual for your TV and found it odd that they don't mention anywhere that it can be connected to a PC. They're often handled differently than other input signals which is the info I was looking for. I still need to see your D3Prefs.txt file before making any other suggestions. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Juxtapose, I'd try matching the game's resolution to the same as your desktop first which is 1920 x 1080. Right now, you're set to 1280 x 720. You can change that from within the game or by editing the D3Prefs.txt file if needed. You'd need to change these lines DisplayModeWidth "1280" DisplayModeHeight "720" to DisplayModeWidth "1920" DisplayModeHeight "1080" _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Juxtapose, Try running in windowed mode next then. That often let's HDTVs that are hard to get working to cooperate somewhat. Again, that can be changed in-game or by editing the file. Change DisplayModeWindowMode "0" to DisplayModeWindowMode "1" _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
