Constant Blue Screens of all kinds(1)Category: Technical SupportMarch-30-2014 3:34 PM PDT (9 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
Hello, i have been having this problem for about a year now, and im kind of fed up with it
I get constant blue screens when playing diablo 3, and i have no idea what might be causing this issue.

These blue screens also only seem to be occurring when playing diablo 3, where as Starcraft 2 runs just fine for prolonged hours on high settings.

I have run Memtest for 10 hours the other day, and it didnt come back with any issues, i also tried furmark as well as heaven benchmarks to see if its my graphics card.

The last time i played, my audio completely cut out but i did not crash; It did however make the same sound it makes when it does crash and go into a blue screen. I set my background fps to 30 before this crash occurred.

Here is what WhoCrashed tells me as well:

Seprez,

Can you post some information about your computer please so I can see exactly what hardware and drivers you're using? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)
Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here.

Seprez,

Ok, a couple of things warrant further investigation here.

You have 4 ram modules installed. 2 4 gig and 2 2 gig modules.

I'd try removing one of the two sets so you're using just a single ram module type and not mixing them like that.

Secondly, I'd check to make sure the motherboard BIOS is the latest put out by Asus.

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM3+/M5A99X_EVO/M5A99X-EVO-ASUS-1708.zip

The most recent release is "M5A99X EVO BIOS 1708" with a release date of 5/10/2013
