| Game freezes when clicking loot right after pickup(1) | Category: Technical SupportSeptember-20-2014 10:10 AM PDT (8 years ago) ![]() | |
| Title says it all. Almost every time i click an item to pick it up right after I looted it (to see the item skin because I'm that curious sometimes) the game freezes often resulting in having to close the game down through task manager. I have only noticed it with unidentified items since they're the only ones you can't see the skin of until picking them up (most often items only taking up 1x1 square in the inventory) In detail the issue occurs when: 1) Loot lies on the ground. 2) I pick it up while opening my inventory. 3) I immediately (within about 1-2 seconds after looting) click the item to see the skin without having to identify it first. 4) Game freezes for a minimum of 15-20 seconds. Most often it stays frozen and requires forcing the game to shut down through task manager. 5) I rage about missed loot and the annoyancy of a stupid bug. Please try to reproduce this internally because it happens very often and I have to remind myself not to click items until 5-10 seconds have passed. Coop or solo, the issue is the same albeit much worse solo since the game instance closes and you need to recreate the game and miss potential loot. | ||

| Hello, Can you please try resetting the game back to defaults, by clearing the d3prefs.txt file found in your Documents / Diablo III folder? If that doesn't help, could you try checking these options: battle.net/support/en/article/network-card-support Then see what happens? ___________________________________ Let me know how I'm doing! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Lurdlespor | ||
