| Recently returned after many months and got all the updates n such. Game plays fine(no issues at all). But when I exit the game I get a black screen with a moveable cursor. Cannot alt tab out of this, or ctr+alt+del to task manager or alt-f4 out. Nothing works but a forced button hold reboot of my system. Also unrelated, All of my Hardcore Characters are level zero. One of them has the paragon icon(should be level 60) and is para 114 but is naked has no gear and acts as if she has never played 1 second in the game. | ||

| ChaosLeech , Can you post your D3Debug.txt file? It's located in the main Diablo III game folder. | ChaosLeech, I'm just trying to see if any other apps might be interfering. I've dealt with similar issues in World of Warcraft like this that were addon-related but that wouldn't exactly apply for Diablo III. | ChaosLeech, In looking at and comparing your D3Debug file to mine, it looks like it exited properly. Our files end the same way. Can you try running in windowed mode and having the Task Manager up in a small window so you can monitor what's running, and then exit the game? I want to see if it's possible to tell if Diablo III is still active at that point. | ChaosLeech, I really can't say what needs to be fixed here but I'm pretty certain it's not the game doing it or we'd be hearing about it from everybody. On your end, there's only so much you can do without swapping out hardware. Unfortunately, you're approaching the harder things to do such as reinstalling Windows, which will ensure no other apps are interfering. I'd also have to suggest temporarily using a direct wired connection and not using your USB device to maintain an internet connection. I know these aren't easy things to do but when troubleshooting, you have to eliminate areas that may be a possible cause before proceeding.
