| I am on a internet connection that simply cant download this patch. Speedwise it is fine but I have a very low monthly cap as an only option (20GB/month). This means I need to copy D3 from my bros computer, onto mine. On his system D3 will launch fine and Play will be available. he can log in and play on the latest patch. However when we copy the folder to my computer, I launch the launcher, it does some things, and then starts trying to download 5+GB worth of stuff. My question is how do I do a proper FULL copy of the game from his PC to mine so I do not have to download 5GB worth of data that he clearly has already as he can play? What am I doing wrong here? | ||

| Paultimate, It's not a recommended method of installing but along with his game folder, you'd need to get his C:\ProgramData\Battle.net folder. It contains the Agent files primarily which when the game starts, check to see if you need any updates. Apparently, the files you have now believe you do so it's trying to get them. Now that Diablo III requires the Battle.net Desktop App to launch, you'd have to have that installed as well. I'd download and install that though from the Account Management page. You'll want to verify the Desktop App has the right game folder specified for where you copied it too. | Paultimate , It actually doesnt. It actually does. There's a bug allowing it not to right now but it's going to be fixed soon. You shouldn't rely on any workarounds that let you bypass the app as they won't last forever. The launcher files you copy also maintain some file locations so you want to be sure to get the files I mentioned above. You should also be using the same folder names as your brother used. And like I said earlier, none of this is really supported.
