| Hello people. So I persuaded my girlfriend to buy Diablo 3 so we could pay together, £32 later and we can't play together because one person gets crippling lag. We play other games online together with no problem, originally we were both on wireless, She was getting around 20mbps speed and I around 1mbps. After assuming it was my issue I went and connected my PC to the router with an ethenet cable, I now get around 105 mbps and she gets her normal 20mbps but we're still having the exact same issue, it makes the game unplayable. We pay for 100mb virgin internet so can't see the internet provided being the issue. Will it matter which one of us invites the other player? I don't know if we connect to D3 servers or if one player "hosts" for the other? Any help? Tried to contact blizzard via a ticket but they wanted some tracer file I had literally no idea what I was doing :/ | ||

| Kelfezond, Did the "crippling" lag switch between the two of you when you moved to a wired connection? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Kelfezond, Ideally, if you can, use a wired connection for both pcs. If you've ever gone in and made any changes to your router's configuration, you might want to consider doing a factory reset to get it back to the default settings. If you do this, I strongly recommend going in and at least changing the password you access it with as well as implementing at least WPA2 for security or disabling wireless altogether if you're able to get by without any wireless adevices. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Kelfezond, Have you tried power-cycling the router and modem yet? To do that, you just need to remove power from the device for 10 seconds or so and then plug it back in and wait for it to re-initialize. If you can't wire hers up due to cabling issues, could you try it temporarily with as along a cable as needed just run along the floor, or you might be able to (again temporarily) relocate her computer closer to the router while doing this test. If the symptoms change with both PCs wired instead of using wireless, you'll know where to concentrate going forward. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
