| This problem appeared after Diablo 3 forced me to install new launcher with error: BLZBNTBNA00000640 (1202). I can still play Diablo 3, but whenever I exit the game, the screen goes black. The only thing that remains is mouse cursor, which registers everything normally (it changes shape when I move it over something that would make him change shape). Nothing else works to remove black screen except direct restart. And things that DON'T help include: windows button, ALT+CTRL+DEL, ALT+F4, CTRL+Esc, ALT+TAB (tried it all). My system: XP home edition Version 2002 SP3 Computer: Intel(R)Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E4600 @ 2,40Ghz 2.42 Ghz, 2,00 GB of RAM I think the launcher might be the problem, because yesterday I entered the game (after update) and everything worked fine. Launcher was installed today and that's when the problem started. | ||

| Adrian, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? | Adrian, I'd try two things for this first. Update the video drivers to AMD's latest which can be found here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%20XP%20-%20Professional/Home&RenderOnServer=true If that doesn't help, try running the game in windowed mode instead of full screen. That can be set in game or by editing the D3prefs.txt file.
