Man, I've passed on items that were an upgrade in each category because they made me walk as slow as a turtle. Or lacked armor/resist despite having higher toughness. These kinds of difficult decisions are where Paragon 2.0 can play an important role. As an example, I removed a pair of pre-2.0.1 Intelligence-based Inna's I was wearing on my Wizard earlier today for an item that was better in every other capacity (more sockets, higher Int, bonus to a skill I was using, etc). Losing the movement speed hurt quite a bit though, so I filled in what I was now missing by shifting around my Paragon points into Movement Speed. Paragon makes a nice compliment to the stats you have on your gear, and if you're debating whether or not an item is an upgrade, remember to factor in that your Paragon points might be able to tip the scales. | ||
