| After my Battle.net app starts, I choose "Play" but a message pops up saying "Graphics Error Clicl to retray creating D3D device. Click OK to retry". I press retray but nothing happens. Is this a bug caused by the optimization or somehing else? Thx a lot | ||

| Caleb, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Caleb, Since you have a laptop with both an integrated Intel and a discrete AMD video device, we'll want to make sure the game is using the faster card first. Can you now post the D3Debug.txt file that's located in your Diablo III game folder? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Caleb, Your game is using the integrated video and that may be the problem in this case. Could you try using the AMD Radeon HD 6700M instead? Mobile Intel(R) HD Graphics \\.\DISPLAY1 2014.02.25 19:15:59.195459500 Driver Version 8.17.10.1191 2014.02.25 19:15:59.195600500 VendorID = 0x8086, DeviceID = 0x116 You can try the suggestion below to force the game to use the AMD device but you'll need to wait until the servers are back up which right now looks like it's going to be extended until this evening. Open up the game getting a character all the way in, and then close it. On the desktop, right click and go to Configure Switchable Graphics. Then select the game. And on the right it should say "Power Saving". Click that box and it should say "High Performance" The game should then run with the AMD card instead of the Intel. Alternately, here's a YouTube video supposedly going through setting it up too. It uses StarCraft II as an example but the steps should be the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oB2oDO-IFk _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
