Done with D3, had enough of Blizzard's BS(1)Category: GeneralFebruary-6-2014 11:14 PM PST (9 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
I'm definitely done playing D3 cos I honestly believe Blizzard is extremely greedy and 100% selfish. (bet they wouldn't hesitate to wipe out any endangered species for minimal profit)

But I only blame myself for getting tricked by Blizzard once again.
i.e. c0m on my cat's face once, shame on me.. after that, its my cat's fault.

1. No Echanting on non-RoS items.
I think it was great plan by Blizzard to lure people into buy RoS/Mystic ready items knowing no one would be stupid enough to spend money on expensive items with RoS just around the corner.
Then make all the non-RoS items totally useless at last minute, so people will lose enough gold(i.e. great for Blizzard) and also have to spend more gold on new RoS items.
But i think they were bit too blatant on the announcement, cos imo they could have easily come up better excuse rather than another BS.
"In the next Beta patch, Legacy items (or items that drop prior to Patch 2.0.1) will no longer be able to be enchanted. This was a decision we ultimately made because certain Legacy items, when enchanted, became disproportionately strong compared to new items, which isn't the intent."

LOL? Blizzard should just nerf this "disproportionately strong compared to new items"(btw what is this item???), cos everyone already know 99% of Legacy items wouldn't be op compared to RoS items.

Like I said i only blame myself cos this definitely isn't the first time Blizzard tricked us, I'll just list few more.

2. Real reason for closing AH/RMAH next month?
= More profit and probably to hide/cover up the all evidence of wrong doings(after all they can easily generate unlimited gold, godly items)
- Blizzard probably own most of sites selling D3 gold or at least provide gold to em. (so Blizzard's won't look greedy, n don't have pay Tax etc)
- D3 gold will probably go up heaps once AH goes down, and most people will need more gold(Blizzard will probably make everything very pricey in RoS).

3. Real reason for not having DC protection in hardcore mode?
- Thousands of people get killed unfairly due to DC every week, but Blizzard will never impliment simple DC protection to prevent this major issue in hardcore mode.
- Fyi, its very easy to implement DC protection for hardcore mode cos we already have auto DC function in D3.(i.e. u get auto kicked to menu when theres no input in ~30mins) so all they need to do is just allow ~30sec auto DC(optional oc) for hc mode.
- 30sec auto DC won't save everyone but its still 100 times better than having no DC protection at all, and at least people won't be able to abuse this feature to escape death.

4. Real reason for not having thousand separator commas on AH/Trade window?
- Blizzard want us to make mistake, cos that will eventually lead people to buying more gold.
- I always double check the listed price straight afterwards, but i probably wouldn't have to do that if there were thousand separator commas on AH.
- Someone told me Blizz said its very difficult to place commas on AH via programming, but if that's the case why not just place commas on graphic? I'm not a programmer or photoshop expert but i can still put commas on AH screen in less than 20secs with MS paint.

5. Real reason for supporting scammers?
- Blizzard will close/lock your thread if you post/report details of any scammer even if u have proof rather than perma banning the pest.
- They'll also remove the name of the scammer from your post, e.g. just google "d3 scammer frostyfeet", this loser scammed 40+ people easily all thanks to Blizzard.
- We all hate scammers but they are actually very beneficial for Blizzard cos when people get scammed, some of them will end up buying more gold.

6. Legendary items with non-working IAS?
- Blizzard sold thousands of legendary items with non-working ias(i.e. almost useless) on RMAH and AH at the start of D3, but they never fixed any of them.
- Obviously you don't have to be an expert at string theory or quantum physics to figure this one out.

Overall, increased density led to much less interesting game play (for the game as a whole), even if it may have been super fun on the surface.

The use of the word "interesting" isn't attempting to define what's interesting to you, personally, as a player. Rather, "interesting" in this case applies to the game itself, in that both build variety and build viability (outside AoE/burst builds, which actually became stronger) took a hit whenever we buffed density in 1.0.8. While the monster density itself was a lot of fun, it did have a harmful effect on the health the game -- both in terms of encouraging diversity and, like Neva noted, affecting server performance.

This change isn't about defining (or trying to redefine) what's fun for you as an individual. That's something only you can decide. This change is about addressing an issue -- which we helped create -- and better supporting the long-term health of the game. Hopefully, for many players, what's fun and what's good for the game sync up. That's always a balance we're looking to strike, and with density specifically it's something we'll continually evaluate based on internal data and your feedback too.

Edit: WORDS. Typos bad. =/

Oh, and sorry! Meant to include that I was locking this thread up in my previous post. The topic itself was totally fine, but the tone and following conversation definitely took a negative/non-constructive turn.

aw3s0m0, I appreciate your concerns and feedback. Thank you for posting!
