| I just purchased a Lenovo Z50 series laptop that comes with: Nvidia GeForce 820M 2GB 8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz 4th Generation Intel Core i7-4510U Processor (2.00GHz 1600MHz 4MB) Hybrid 1TB 5400 RPM+8GB SSHD Windows 8.1 i researched a fair bit (im no expert) and came to the conclusion that D3 would run perfectly on this laptop, and that it would fit my needs for my schooling. all the specs from a non-techy guys point of view look super good and the graphics card works because it will open the game and everything, so i am concerned from what ive read, about Windows 8.1, or maybe DirectX. Ive read alot of things saying that Windows 8.1 is problematic. After first installing i got a black screen where i could see the mouse and hear the game, and after googling i found some admins here on the forums posting about hotfixes for this purpose. i used two of those, and now it opens but the mouse is laggy and my character is laggy/in slow motion as if the FPS is super bad. Ive tried windowed mode as well. Sometimes before i made changes it would be just one of the two - like the mouse would be laggy in the menu and in the game, while my guy would walk/attack normal speed, and sometimes he would be laggy in game but the mouse was fine. I played with it, and it changed from one to the other, then i got somehow to where i am now where its all slow, and basically i cant get it back to where it was... i'm not sure exactly what all ive done besides downloading those hotfixes and changing to windowed and back, running as admin, downloading drivers, restarting, etc. i prefer using a standard account for a good portion of my time on my laptop, but logging onto the admin acc and running from there doesnt seem to yield any results. Maybe its a DirectX problem, or although i thought i sucessfully did it, maybe i need to turn on the Nvidia card, etc. Please help!!!! any ideas!? Edit: i tried matching the resolution to my desktop res, which is 1920 x 1080, but nothing. | ||

| Hi there Sandraptor, that is a nice new laptop indeed! Could you post a DXDiag and MSInfo report below? Thanks! __________________________________ Please click here to give me your feedback on this post! | ||
