| I am really disgusted of your ways of locking unlikely threads and banning people who don't sympatize with you. Lylirra you stated that this thread http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/11422462567?page=1 was non constructive yes? Ok shame you didn't actually read it coz I clearly stated the main problems and also the solutions how to change your attitude to players!!! Which was and is very simple you have to show that you do care about the game and about the community all you showing is that you don't care about the game at all. Your goal is sell us as many unfinished products as soon as you make a profits. We have in 2 years 3 games D3, D3 console and RoS that clearly shows that U R prefering quantity over quality and in long run you no longer deliver product of high Blizzard quality as before!!! The thread was actually very fine as we were having conversation without swearing, insults and now we can truly see what kind of information R going through to Devs as you scrap such threads and material and you results must be truly twisted! My thread was simply CENSORED in 21st century where most of countries R living in democracy and with freedom of speech... So what will be next U ban me? You clearly proved recently that your interest and countless amount of posts was in this nonsence thread : http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/11367086633 where you R trying to explain adult people how these kind of meetings works... We R not kids and we know very well how these actions R working every big company does that, You simply let the guests feel very special with all service to let them feel unconsciously pleased with your company and let them share it further! So why don't you spend your time wisely and post on more important threads your customers really care about? You R very good in ignoring and missing in important threads and can't stand any criticism but the problem is this game was fakely advertised and U cheated over 10milion customers of content. Your moves as company disgusts me and I am surely going to share this further between friends, web etc. Thank you J. | ||

| Keep in mind that threads aren't always locked because of the initial post, but because of the conversation that follows. Unfortunately, for the thread in question, the following conversation turned to one of infighting and name-calling pretty quickly. Like I noted, it was a great example of a non-constructive thread (people were insulting each other back and forth) and was definitely a candidate for a lock. "Constructive" != positive feedback, by the way. Constructive can often = negative feedback. We're cool with criticisms so long as you can remain civil about the way you express those criticisms and/or discuss them with other players. What we're not cool with is mud-slinging, lots of hyperbole, and general doomsaying (that's posted just for the purpose of riling other people up). That kind of approach doesn't really help us make improvements, and it doesn't really help your fellow players either. The main reason we lock threads isn't to silence our players, but to help keep the forums as constructive as possible. In fact, as community managers, we lock instead of delete as much as possible, because that means the content and feedback is still there for us to pass on and reference. We're not perfect at it, of course, which means we're going hit some threads, and miss others. That's the human element of it. Also, I think it's important to note that receiving a forum penalty (like a lock or even a suspension, depend) isn't personal. It's not a comment on you as an individual or a player, it just means that a post you've made violated our Code of Conduct in some way. We like seeing players post and want to preserve that privilege whenever we can, but we also want to make sure that the forums remain welcoming -- or at least that's the pipe dream -- and will often moderate to help achieve that. Either way, I hope to see you continue posting and sharing your thoughts. Constructively, though, right? ;D I think what really needs to happen, is for the CM's to make a good practice guide to providing quality feedback. Not a bad idea. :) Here's a fairly goodish guide to use in the meantime (for those who are genuinely curious): http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/11224842889?page=7#138 Oh, and before anyone asks why I locked this thread? The letter of the law reason is because posts discussing moderation violate the forum Code of Conduct. The spirit of the law reason is because this particular thread wasn't going to end or lead to anywhere productive, and was already veering into infighting again. :( PS - I haven't said "constructive" enough. Constructive. Constructive constructive constructive. Constructive. | ||
