| Can anyone tell me just how good the smart drop system is, in D3 ROS cause I would like to know. In the past I used the Gold Auction House to find gear that fit my playing style on my witch doctor and the stats I looked for was high in Life per second, Vitality, Intelligence and Life on hit. Now say if I get ROS and I'm wearing my current level 60 gear that I want upgrades for along the way to 70 and to max out at 70 for my playing style. Will I get random gear drops with the stats my hero gear has on it, at the time of the item drop or will I have to ask around forever in trade and hope to get an upgrade that fit my playing style. I prefer not to ask random people in trade for Items I'm looking for and I do not have plans to be in a clan so asking there will not happen. I wish we could just keep the Gold Auction House due to it was easy just to look for gear with the stats that fits a player play style with out the need to spam a chat channel for an item upgrade. And also with the new crafting system will I be able to pick and choose what stats I want. For example if I want to make a level 70 chest with (300 Intelligence, 700 Vitality, 200 Strength, 100 Dexterity, 750 Life per second and 150 to 200 Resistance to All Elements) Just how close will I come to hitting the numbers I want, will I have a 10% to 20% chance to randomly hit the numbers that I want ? | ||

| The smart drop system essentially means that you are much more likely to find items with a main stat for whatever character you're playing. Crafted items are the same way, and will use the main stat for the character that has crafted them. This system doesn't influence any of the other stats, so the rest of it is still up to RNG. The smart drop system also lowers the chance that you'll find items you can't use at all (like finding Barbarian belts on your Demon Hunter). | ||
