| I have moved the install folder for Diablo III. It was on a separate partition (D) of my hard drive (which also had the system partition C), but seeing as I've acquired an SSD hard drive, I've moved the folder to the C drive. I have configured B.Net to the correct folder and the game works fine. However, the taskbar icon (I have Win7), is gone, showing only the default windows icon for unrecognized files. It's a minor issue, but one I would like to resolve. If I try to reinstall, it's possible that it will fix this, but I was hoping for a simpler way to do this (probably editing the registry?). Can someone assist me in this, please? | ||

| DJSamhein, Delete the taskbar icon you have now and make a new one to the Diablo III Launcher.exe file on the desktop pointing to the correct path. If the icon is still incorrect for the new shortcut, right click it and select properties, then change icon at the bottom. Make sure the field identified as "Look for icons in this file" is pointing to the executable for the launcher file and you should see the regular Diablo III icon. Once the new desktop icons looks correct to you, just re-pin it to the taskbar. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| DJSamhein, I was able to recreate what you're seeing and fix it but I'm not sure what exactly I did. I've had the game running from a Diablo III folder on my desktop for quite some time now. I also had a Diablo III game folder in c:\Program Files (x86). I went ahead and deleted that folder, and after starting up the game, alt-tabbed out and my taskbar icon for the running app changed to the Windows default. You can right click that icon and then right click again on properties and you'll see a place where you can change the icon, but when I tried, it errored out with a message that it could't find the exe file in the Program Files (x86) folder. Next, I made a folder again in that folder called Diablo III and in it I placed a copy of Diablo III.exe and Diablo III Launcher.exe, just those two files. Then I ran the game again and did the change icon option again for the icon on the task bar after alt-tabbing out and selected the correct one which was now available. That seemed to fix it for me even after deleting the new game folder I had made. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
